Welcome to the Pediatric Psychopharmacology for Primary Care Digital Tool
This resource is specifically designed to enhance the book Pediatric Psychopharmacology for Primary Care by Mark A. Riddle, MD, and John V. Campo, MD. It will be important to reference your book for a full understanding of the drug lookups and resources offered in this tool. If you do not already own a copy, you can learn more about it here.
Drug Lookup
Search the grid, or filter by Condition and/or Drug Name. Click on a result to see the drug's dosing, monitoring, and safety information. Most Group 2 medications are not included in the Drug Lookup, as they are typically indicated for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, which are preferably treated by child and adolescent psychiatrists (CAPs) and psychiatric nurse practitioners (Psych NPs). Please refer to Chapter 7 in the book, which describes the use of Group 2 medications in detail. There are 2 medications from Group 2, risperidone and aripiprazole, which may be prescribed to treat irritability associated with autism spectrum disorder.
