How to customize your
  • Tools like unfollowing, filtering notifications: Your notifications timeline displays your interactions with other X accounts, such as mentions, , reposts, and who has recently followed you. If you are receiving unwanted replies or mentions from accounts you do not follow, you can filter the types of notifications you receive.
  • Choose to show less often: When you mark this it helps X better understand the types of posts that you’d like to see less of in your timeline. X can use this information to optimize and tailor your experience in the future.
  • Mute another account: This means you will not see that account’s posts in your timeline – good way to stay connected even if you aren’t interested in seeing their posts – muting is different than blocking or unfollowing, the person does not know that you muted them and it still shows you follow them.
  • Block an account: When you block an account, you restrict that account’s ability to interact with your account.
  • Report: If you think an account is in violation of the X rules or terms of service, report the account or post to X.
