In order to best serve children and youth experiencing or at risk for trafficking, you and your staff need basic knowledge of forced labor, commercial sexual exploitation and the trauma-informed approach to care. Training is recommended for all office staff, including front-desk personnel, medical assistants, nursing professionals, physicians, social workers and other child-serving staff so that everyone may be attuned to potential indicators of exploitation and share the responsibility of recognizing and responding to vulnerable patients.
