This Blueprint was authored as a partnership between the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), in collaboration with experts from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). The content and strategies outlined herein were developed via iterative discussion at a 2021 Youth Suicide Prevention Summit convened by these agencies and strengthened via comprehensive review and revision by key collaborators in the suicide prevention field.
