Matthew Yeung
Guest
Matthew Yeung is a first-year medical student at the University of Calgary and budding emergency medicine researcher. While completing his undergraduate degree in Health Sciences, also at the University of Calgary, Matthew was able to combine his studies in population and public health with interests in emergency medicine by spearheading several projects with his mentor, Dr. Eddy Lang. Through Dr. Lang, Matthew was able to develop an initial project focusing on fall-related injuries specific to Calgary’s variable winter climate and was able to progress on to other salient topics, such as the impact of cannabis on emergency department visit volume.
