Dr. Kemper serves as the Chair of the Evidence Review Workgroup for the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Advisory Committee on Heritable Disorders in Newborns and Children and is the Deputy Editor of PEDIATRICS.

Dr. Trent is a Professor of Pediatrics, American Health, and Nursing at Johns Hopkins University and Chief of the Division of Adolescent/ Young Adult Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is an independent research scientist and serves as the principal or key investigator on multiple research projects and training grants funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other funding agencies. Dr. Trent is the immediate past President of the Society for Adolescent Health, served two terms as Chair of the Executive Committee for the Section on Adolescent Health within the American Academy of Pediatrics, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Sexual Health Association. She is the lead author of the AAP policy statement from 2019 on The Impact of Racism on Child and Adolescent Health.
