Dr. Anderst is a Child Abuse Pediatrician, the Division Director of the Division of Child Adversity and Resilience, and Professor of Pediatrics at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. He has worked collaboratively with governmental and non-profit agencies in successfully creating an aligned, fiscally supported medical response to child maltreatment in his state. Dr. Anderst has published more than 40 peer-reviewed research articles and 20 book chapters and invited reviews and serves on multiple state and national boards targeting child maltreatment and prevention.
