COVID Then and Now: A Look Back at the Front Lines and Forward to Life with Vaccines – Episode 54

Steve Caddle, MD, MPH, FAAP, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Child and Adolescent Health at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He sees patients and teaches residents in primary care in the Ambulatory Care Network of New York-Presbyterian Hospital, and previously served as an inpatient attending at the NYP Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital. His academic interests include quality improvement and emerging infectious diseases, and he has worked with the American Academy of Pediatrics around telementoring during the Zika outbreak and COVID-19 pandemic. He is an avid runner and has completed marathons on all seven continents.

Yvonne (Bonnie) A. Maldonado, MD, FAAP,  is Professor and Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University School of Medicine, Stanford, California. She is also the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Development and Diversity at the Stanford School of Medicine. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic she has over 10 clinical, epidemiology and laboratory-based studies in this area and is involved in epidemiologic modeling at the University, state and national level.  She is the Chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics Committee on Infectious Diseases. Dr. Maldonado has published over 200 peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals and is co-editor of the textbooks “Remington and Klein Infectious Diseases of the Fetus and Newborn Infant” and “Report of the American Academy of Pediatrics Committee on Infectious Diseases (Red Book)”.
