Special Requirements: National AAP Members and Section Affiliates that have a special interest in pediatric rheumatology.
Section Affiliate membership
1. Licensed Physicians not eligible for AAP Membership.
Applicants must submit:
- Two letters from Fellows or Specialty Fellows. One must be from a member of Section on Rheumatology who can verify that the physician is part of a rheumatology team.
2. Registered nurses and nurse practitioners who are demonstrably active in Pediatric Rheumatology with at least 50% of time to patients with rheumatic diseases. The majority are members of the American College of Rheumatology – Arthritis Health Professors Association (ACR-AHPA).
Applicants must submit:
- Copy of license
- Two letters from Fellows or Specialty Fellows. One must be from a member of Section on Rheumatology who can verify that the RN or NP is part of a rheumatology team.
3. Occupational and Physical Therapists who are demonstrably active in Pediatric Rheumatology with at least 50% of time to patients with rheumatic diseases.
Applicants must submit:
- Copy of license.
- Two letters from Fellows or Specialty Fellows. One must be from a member of Section on Rheumatology who can verify that the OT or PT is part of a rheumatology team.
4. Registered dieticians demonstrably active in pediatric rheumatology.
Applicants must submit:
- Copy of license or certificate.
- Two signatures (on application) from Fellows or Specialty Fellows. One must be from a member of Section on Rheumatology who can verify that the dietician is part of a rheumatology team.
