Fellows must be certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and by either the American Board of Radiology or the American Board of Nuclear Medicine who devote a minimum of 50% of their time to the radiologic care of children and adolescents age 21 and under.
Applicants must submit:
- A photocopy of certificate from the American Board of Pediatrics and either the American Board of Radiology or American Board of Nuclear Medicine.
Candidate Members should be in the process of receiving their board certification from American Board of Pediatrics and by either the American Board of Radiology or the American Board of Nuclear Medicine who devote a minimum of 50% of their time to the radiologic care of children and adolescents age 21 and under.
Medical Students, Residents and Fellowship Trainees who meet the following requirements and who have an interest in pediatric radiology:
- Medical Students who are enrolled in an accredited medical school.
- Residents who are enrolled in an accredited residency.
- Fellowship Trainees currently enrolled in a pediatric specialty fellowship or training position in which they perform a minimum of 40% in the pediatric specialty.
Specialty Fellows must have been certified either by the American Board of Radiology or the American Board of Nuclear Medicine, devote a minimum of 50% of their professional time to the radiological care of children and adolescents age 21 and under and have adequate training and continuing activity in radiology, which shall include as a minimal requirement:
- Resident training to the level of the American Board of Radiology or American Nuclear Medicine eligibility or its equivalent.
- Adequate training in pediatric radiology or in pediatric nuclear medicine in a center where there is a pediatric hospital or service and where the applicant is given senior responsibilities for the case of pediatric radiology problems, both inpatient and outpatient.
Applicants must submit:
- A photocopy of certificate of board certifications
Section Affiliate Membership
International pediatric radiologists not eligible for National membership and who reside outside the borders of the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.
Affiliate applicants must submit:
- Two letters of support from Fellows or Specialty Fellows who are members of the Section on Radiology. One letter may be from an International Affiliate member.
