The AAP Section on Orthopaedics offers one award annually of up to $1,500 to a senior resident, orthopaedics fellow, or junior faculty (within 3 years of training) who is interested in providing musculoskeletal care to children in resource-poor regions of the world. The scholarship program facilitates mentored experiences for young surgeons in training. 

To apply, please complete the Application Form. Requirements include having a mentor who is a member of the AAP Section on Orthopaedics and submitting a post-project report, which you will discuss in-person the following year at the Academy’s National Conference & Exhibition.

The application period is October 15 through November 15 (11:59 pm Central). The announcement will be made by no later by mid-January.
