The Section on Neurology welcomes and encourages trainee and early career physician member involvement in the work of the section.  In addition to maintaining active liaisons to the Section on Pediatric Trainees and an Early Career Physician role on the executive committee, the section has many opportunities for engagement:

Subcommittees

Participate on one of the SONu subcommittees, including Education; Publications and External Affairs; Legislative and Regulatory Affairs; and Membership.

Assist in the review, revision, and/or development of new content for HealthyChildren.org, AAP’s parent-facing informational website.  Your name will appear in the by-line!

AAP News “Focus on Subspecialties” Articles

Help author a neurology-focused article in AAP News - sent to over 67,000 AAP members.

Policy, Guidelines, and Book Chapter Development

Assist in the review of neurology-related content in AAP policy statements, clinical reports, technical reports, clinical practices guidelines, book chapters, and other educational content.

Medical Education

Help support the development of educational programs and proposals, including for sessions presented at the AAP’s annual National Conference.

Private Payer Advocacy

Help review private payers' policies for reimbursement issues related to neurological conditions.

Mentorship

Mentorship in child neurology.
