Membership Criteria

Section Membership is open to the following member types:

• Candidate Members
• Corresponding Fellows
• Fellows
• Fellowship Trainees
• Honorary Fellows
• International Members
• Medical Students
• National Affiliates
• Residents
• Senior Members
• Specialty Fellows

Dues/year:

Fellowship Trainees, Medical Students, Residents and Senior Members - $0*
All other accepted National member types - $15*
Section Affiliates - $60
(*in addition to national dues)

Special Requirements: Must be actively involved in some aspect of the study of hematologic or oncologic diseases.

Section Affiliate membership

1. Licensed physicians and clinical research associates not eligible for membership in the Academy.
2. Registered nurses, nurse clinicians, clinical nurse specialists, hematology/oncology nurses, and nurse practitioners who are demonstrably active in pediatric hematology/oncology.
3. Psychologists and social workers who are demonstrably active in pediatric hematology/oncology.

Special Requirements:

These professionals must be a part of a pediatric hematology/oncology team under the direct supervision of a certified pediatric hematologist/oncologist within a pediatric hematology/oncology department or division with at least 50% of their time devoted to the care of infants, children, and adolescents with hematological/oncological diseases.

Applicants must submit a copy of their medical license or certification along with their application.
