Council affiliate membership

Physicians not eligible for membership in the Academy who are actively involved in some aspect of the study of computer applications to pediatrics and adolescent medicine who are interested in contributing toward the objectives of the Council.

Physician Affiliate members must submit the following:

• Copy of current medical license
• One letter of support from an AAP Fellow or Specialty Fellow who is a current member of COCIT

Non-physicians who are actively involved in the development, implementation, and/or maintenance of pediatric health information technology and who are employed by or are under the direct supervision of a Fellow of the AAP.

Non-physician Affiliate members must submit the following:

• One letter of support from an AAP Fellow or Specialty Fellow who is a current member of COCIT

Non-physician health information specialists who are employed in a position with responsibility to the development, implementation, and/or maintenance of pediatric health information technology (e.g., pediatric electronic health record developers, pediatric EMR consultants, or other business partners).

Non-physician info specialist Affiliate members must submit the following:

• One letter of support from an AAP Fellow or Specialty Fellow who is a current member of COCIT
• Signed agreement that they will not use COCIT programs, activities, and/or listserv postings to solicit clients nor promote a specific company or product.
