Description

The PREP Statistics Self-Assessment Series is an online case-based assessment program to help physicians acquire an understanding of statistical concepts and quality improvement activities.

The Basic PREP Statistics assesement covers basic concepts such as types of variables, distribution of data, hypothesis testing, statistical tests, and measurements of association and effect. 

• Understand how statistical data is used in research
• Analyze statistical data to interpret research findings to determine the best course of treatment for patients
• Identify knowledge gaps in the area of statistics and follow up with suggested readings for additional study

The Advanced PREP Statistics assessment builds on the topics covered in the Basic PREP Statistics Self-Assessment, and discusses advanced concepts such as experimental errors, regression analysis, principles of epidemiology and clinical research design.

• Use various tools and charts to focus quality improvement activities
• Conduct a cost-utility analysis
• Interpret Kaplan Meier survival curve findings
