Armand H. Matheny Antommaria, MD, PhD, FAAP, HEC-C

Armand H. Matheny Antommaria, MD, PhD, FAAP, HEC-C is Director of the Ethics Center, the Lee Ault Carter Chair of Pediatric Ethics, and Professor of Pediatrics and Surgery at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and Professor of Pediatrics and Surgery at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.  Dr. Antommaria earned his MD at Washington University in St. Louis and his PhD in religious ethics at the University of Chicago Divinity School.  He completed his pediatric residency at the University of Utah School of Medicine.  Dr. Antommaria practices as a pediatric hospitalist.  His research addresses a variety of issues in pediatric clinical ethics including ventilator triage and visitor restrictions.  Dr. Antommaria has been a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Committee on Bioethics and is currently an Associate Editor of the Academy’s journal Pediatrics.
