The Department of Human Resources and Administrative Services assists the Academy with its efforts to identify, hire, and retain a highly qualified, diverse work force who are dedicated to achieving our mission and providing our members with premier service. To achieve this goal, the Department maintains three Divisions each responsible for offering support and assistance to staff in specialized areas of expertise.
The Division of Compensation and Benefits is responsible for ensuring that our employees are offered a competitive compensation package, including a well diverse and affordable array of benefits that meet both the professional and personal needs of our employees. This division administers all medical leave and disability benefit claims and ensures legal compliance with all federal and state benefit, HIPAA privacy and leave laws. This division develops and maintains the Academy wide Salary and Benefit budget.
The Division of Employment and Employee Relations manages all recruitment efforts from candidate identification through new hire orientation; oversees the coordination and implementation of employee professional development and training; assists employees with policy interpretation and compliance, and investigates policy violations; administers the employee performance evaluation program; counsels supervisors on employee performance and disciplinary matters; facilitates numerous employee social events; and ensures the Academys compliance with applicable employment laws.
The Division of Facilities and Office Services ensures that the Academy maintains a safe, comfortable, and functional working environment for employees and guests. This division also provides administrative services in the areas of office supply and equipment purchasing; equipment maintenance; printing and collating; shipping and receiving; and mail delivery.
