2007 Outstanding Achievement Award in the Application
of Epidemiologic Information in Child Health Advocacy
Sean Palfrey, MD, FAAP
Sean Palfrey, MD, FAAP studied at Harvard College, Rockefeller University, Columbia P&S, and Tufts, and has served in many clinical, teaching and administrative roles at UMass, Children's Hospital, Boston, and Boston Medical Center. He is currently a Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and of Public Health at Boston University.
Dr Palfrey served as president of the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics from 2002-2004. He has worked on immunization, health care access, lead poisoning, environmental, mental health, and nutrition policy, and serves as a child health advocate for the Mass Department of Public Health and the state legislature.
