Who is eligible for membership in PUNS?

Registered Nurses who devote at least 50% of their time to pediatric urology patients are qualified for affiliate membership in the Section on Urology.

Section Affiliation offers you a unique opportunity to interact with your medical colleagues - physician urologists, foreign urologists, and pediatric urology nurse specialists. As a Section affiliate, you will receive section mailings, promotional materials, and other Section information. You will be included in the PUNS Membership Directory (an electronic Web version and a print version updated yearly). Also, you will receive:

Subscription to AAP News, the Academy's monthly newspaper. AAP News is packed with the latest information on general pediatric practice, international child health care, AAP-sponsored programs, and advocacy issues to help keep you abreast of emerging issues in pediatrics.
Section/Council specific informational mailings, including newsletters, meeting notices, and membership rosters.
AAP member pricing on AAP publications purchased through the catalog or online bookstore.
Ability to propose educational programming for AAP meetings through your affiliated Section or Council.
Various other discount programs including discounts on a car rental discount program, discounted travel through ResX.com and the Academy's travel office, and a credit card plan with no annual fee.

How do I join?
1. Fill out the Section Affiliate application (pdf).
2. Provide TWO Section Affiliate Sponsor Statements (pdf). These letters of support must be from members of the AAP Section on Urology, one of whom may be a PUNS affiliate member.
3. Provide a copy of your license and an active curriculum vitae.

What is the cost?
Annual membership dues are $60 and are not assessed until after the approval process is complete. Section on Urology members and affiliates are approved once a year during the Section's Business Meeting at the AAP National Conference & Exhibition.
