The Section on Med-Peds advocates for Med-Peds physicians by working directly with organizations that affect Med-Peds physicians such as the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Pediatrics, state and county medical societies, insurers, and hospitals.

The Section has a regular presence at the AAP and ACP meetings and works with the Med-Peds Program Director’s Association and the National Med-Peds Resident Association.

The Section on Med-Peds has over 1,000 members. Section membership is free to all members of the AAP interested in Med-Peds including residents. To join the Med-Peds Section:

1. Go to www.aap.org/moc and log in with your AAP ID and password
   
   
2. Under “Member Community”, click on “Join A Section or Council” under Section, Council & Committee Information
   
   
3. Choose the Section(s) and/or Council(s) you are interested in, answer a few questions (optional),and click “Submit”.
