New AAP Policy Statements/Clinical Reports/Techincal Reports

Care of the Adolescent Sexual Assault Victim (August 2008 - Committee on Adolescence): This is a revision of the 2001 policy statement and provides additional information and data on the treatment and management of adolescents who have been sexually assaulted or raped.

Achieving Quality Health Services for Adolescents (June 2008 - Committee on Adolescence): This new policy statement provides criteria and recommendations for assessing the quality of care provided in primary care to adolescents.

The Role of Schools in Combating Illicit Substance Abuse (December 2007 - Council on School Health and Committee on Substance Abuse): This policy statement explores the educational programs and drug screening approaches in the schools, and the role of schools, health care providers and families in combating adolescent drug use.
