Defining Patient Visits Study (DPV)

Aims

Network-defining survey data are of crucial importance to the work of practice-based research networks (PBRNs) such as PROS and will help tell us how our network compares to the U.S. as a whole.

The objectives this study are to:

Learn about patients and problems seen by the "typical practice" in PROS;

Allow for a comparison of our data with national survey data and an assessment of the extent to which PROS practices represent the nation's pediatric practices;

Collect data that will help with the planning of future PROS studies by indicating the visit frequencies of relevant age groups, patient complaints, and diagnoses.

Test the feasibility of collecting PROS study data electronically via the web.
