The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) maintains a monthly electronic media mailing list of reporters, editors, writers, and TV and radio producers. We welcome journalists who wish to be added to the list.

The AAP monthly mailing includes news releases, digests, and briefs based on upcoming studies and policy statements in Pediatrics, the peer-reviewed, scientific journal of the AAP. The mailing also contains information on other AAP initiatives.

The information is embargoed until the first Monday of the month at 12:01 am (ET) unless otherwise indicated. No story can be printed or broadcast during the embargo. The mailing arrives in your e-mail box at least a week before the embargo is lifted, allowing time for you to assign and localize stories. (The mailing is also posted to the AAP Press Room monthly, but not until after the embargo is lifted.) Each release, brief, and digest includes contact numbers so you can speak directly with the authors of the studies and policy statements. If you are interested, please see a recent sample mailing.
