About NRP

Neonatal Resuscitation Program Workgroups

In an effort to tap into the wealth of knowledge and expertise of the NRP Instructors, providers and educational coordinators, the NRP Steering Committee (NRPSC) has formed several workgroups. The workgroups are designed to assist the committee with implementing the objectives defined in the NRP strategic plan. Each workgroup has the responsibility for reviewing elements of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program and assisting with special projects. The workgroups have been divided into four specialized areas.

Education

This workgroup will focus on the content and format of the Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation, the delivery of the NRP Written Evaluation, and the performance checklists.

Multimedia

This workgroup provides input for the NRP Web site, resources, and offerings. The workgroup is also providing input on the new DVD-ROM, video, and slides.

Service and Administration

This workgroup will enhance the Instructor's Manual for Neonatal Resuscitation and the NRP Instructor Update. They will also provide input on the roles and responsibilities of Regional Trainers and Hospital-based Instructors.

Research

This workgroup will evaluate current scientific recommendations, assist in the development of evidence-based worksheets, and provide input for the NRP Research Grant Program.
