District Meetings

There are ten districts and 66 chapters. All chapters belong to a district and the officers of the chapters within a district comprise the “district committee” which meets on an annual basis. They are attended by the district chairperson and district vice chairperson, chapter presidents and vice presidents, National Nominating, Chapter Forum, and Executive Committee representatives and coordinators from the AAP Resident Section from that district. The meetings convene for the purpose of updating chapter leaders on the status of Academy initiatives, to provide a networking opportunity and provide for the exchange of ideas amongst chapters in a district. The district meetings also provide an opportunity for the AAP president-elect candidates to listen and interact with chapter officers and learn about the issues that are raised throughout the meeting. Central office staff are also available at the district meeting to serve as a resource on Academy activities.
