About Tribute Giving
When you offer a tribute to an important person in your life as part of a gift to the AAP, you honor that person and support the health and well-being of children. Establish a lasting memory by naming a lectureship or award, endowing an initiative, placing a commemorative brick, or dedicating a space at the AAP headquarters.
Special tribute gifts can be recognized in unique ways through recognition opportunities at the AAP headquarters in Itasca, IL. Opportunities include:
- 4x8 walkway brick - $250
- 8x8 walkway brick - $500
- Tree - $3,000
- Bench - $5,000
- Garden Area - $10,000
- Rooms and other space in the AAP headquarters starts at $25,000
- An endowed fund to support a program, lecture, or scholarship starts at $50,000
You Have Choices
A gift through your estate plan
You can include a gift in your Will, stating that a certain dollar amount or percentage of your estate will pass to the AAP at your death in honor of your loved one.
A gift that lives on forever
Honorary endowments can be made now or through your estate plan. Endowments are structured so that a small portion of your gift, rather than the whole amount, is used each year to fund your particular purpose. To perpetuate the fund forever, the majority of the fund always remains intact and is invested for the future.
