COCM COMMUNICATION AND EDUCATION

Minute for Kids Radio Program
The AAP partners with WBBM-AM
radio in Chicago to produce one-minute audio segments that are broadcast twice
each day. Dr Donald Shifrin, COCM Vice Chair, hosts these segments which air Monday
through Friday. Scipts are available for Members to use in community or
media events, and the list is updated often.
COCM
Listserv and General Communication
The COCM Listserve is an email forum for Members to communicate late breaking
information and to request resources and advice from other Members. The listserve helps members reach out to each other and stay informed on COCM activities.
The COCM strives to promote the exchange of chapter media activities and interacts the AAP Department of Communications and AAP Washington office to expand our reach into local media.
The COCM has active liasons with the American Academy
of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the American
Psychological Association for many projects and policy development.
