This electronic funding announcement is a listing of current
funding opportunties available from the AAP and other agencies
for a variety of health topics and target populations. To
receive the monthly announcement from the Division of Community-based

- Community
Access to Child Health Program (CATCH)

The Community Access To Child Health (CATCH) Program is a
national program of the American Academy of Pediatrics that
increases children's access to medical homes or specific health
services supporting pediatricians and communities who are
involved in community-based efforts for children. The CATCH
program offers a variety of Funding

- Healthy
Tomorrows Partnership for Children Program (HTPCP)

The Healthy Tomorrows Partnership for Children Program (HTPCP)
is a cooperative agreement between the federal Maternal and
Child Health Bureau and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Federal grants of $50,000 per year for 5 years are awarded
annually through the program to support community-based child
health projects that improve the health status of mothers,
infants, children, and adolescents by increasing their access
to health services.
- Visiting
Professorships in Community Pediatrics

The Community Access to Child Health (CATCH) program of the
American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) supports Visiting Professorships
in community pediatrics. The Visiting Professorship program
provides up to $4,500 for a training program to support pediatricians
with experience in community pediatrics or pediatric dentistry
to spend up to 3 days in an accredited pediatric residency
program. During the program, a combination of lectures, rounds,
and conferences directed at community and general pediatric
issues will be provided. Funding is available year round.
- Mentorship
and Technical Assistance Program (MTAP) Grants

The Council on Community Pediatrics (COCP) at the American
Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) provides up to $2,000 in funding
to assist COCP members to improve their community pediatrics
skills and/or develop innovative programs within their community.
The MTAP allows financial support for members to bring an
expert to the community, serve as mentors to colleagues in
rural and isolated areas, and visit model academic, clinical,
or community sites, etc. Applications are accepted year round.
- Funding Opportunities for Chapters
After logging into the AAP's Member
Center, AAP Chapters can find funding opportunities
specifically for AAP Chapters by clicking on "Chapters"
from the alphabetical list on the right side of the screen
and then selecting "Chapter Opportunities" from
the tool bar on the left side of the Web page.

National Center for Medical Home Initiatives

The National Center for Medical Home Initiatives for Children
with Special Needs located at the AAP updates this list of funding
announcements on a regular basis. The list includes current
funding opportunities related to a variety of child and family
health issues.

Grantsmanship Center

The Granstmanship Center has a state map that allows you to
search for grantmaking foundations and community foundations
in your state. Search results provide direct links to foundation
Web sites.
- The
Chronicle of Philanthropy

A useful FREE feature on this site is the "Deadlines"
section. On the left side toolbar under "Features,"
click on "Deadlines." You can then search for open
funding opportunities by topic area such as, "children
and youth" or "community health." The results
of your search provide you with a list of open grants, a short
description, their deadline, and a link to their web site.

Foundation Center

This site has a variety of resources and training opportunities
for grantseekers that are available for purchase. By clicking
on "Newsletter" at the top of the Web page you can
subscribe to a FREE Email newsletter called the "RPF Bulletin."
You will receive a weekly electronic listing of current funding
opportunities.

On this Web page, you can select a topic area such as "at
risk" or "health education." This will generate
a list of links that will take you to corporate and foundation
websites. Once there you will find the appropriate information
on funding opportunities and guidelines for submitting proposals.
- Federal
Grants

This is a single, comprehensive Web site that contains information
about finding and applying for all federal grant programs. By
selecting "Find Grant Opportunities" you can search
for opportunities by keyword search (basic search) or you can
"browse by agency" such as the Department of Health
and Human Services.
