CPTI
Residency Training Grants Program
The Community Pediatrics Training Initiative (CPTI) 2010 Residency Training Grant program funded by the MetLife Foundation and the Irving Harris Foundation supports residency programs in building sustainable opportunities for residents to gain experience working on innovative, community-based initiatives that increase children’s access to specific health services or health promotion activities not otherwise available. Grants of up to $15,000 will be awarded on a competitive basis for pediatric residency programs to address the needs of children in their communities and enhance community pediatrics training activities in their programs. These community-based initiatives should lead to the development of successful projects that could be replicated in other communities and training programs.
We are pleased to announce two opportunities this year:
- Through the generous support of the MetLife Foundation, CPTI is issuing a special Call for Proposals for the 2010 Residency Training Obesity Prevention Grants. Five grants will be awarded to focus on obesity prevention initiatives.
- Through the generous support of The Irving Harris Foundation, two projects will be funded to focus on other critical child health topics.
