VACCINES SAVE LIVES (Updated August 28, 2008)
In the first seven months of the year, 131 cases of measles in 15 states have been reported in the United States - the highest number since 1996. The measles vaccine, which is typically given at age 12 to 15 months, with a second dose at 4 to 6 years of age, can prevent this infection.
